Our rules
We need a friendly and supportive environment to work together and achieve our goals effectively. That is why we do not welcome people who provoke or incite any form of discord.
We want our communications to be constructive, positive, and inspiring. That is why we prohibit any use of contentious content.
We do not finance any military purposes and only work on humanitarian initiatives, specifically helping childcare institutions. We strongly believe that every child deserves a better future, and we strive to help them.
We do not in any way cooperate with any political parties or persons, and prohibit any political agenda during our events. We try to stay away from politics as far as we possibly can.
How we control fund allocation
When required funds are collected, together with the Department of Education of Chernihiv city we sign tripartite agreements with local contractors, for the school or kindergarten shelter’s repair and equipment. The agreement includes an outlay for all services and items.
When the work is completed and the goods are supplied, the Department of Education of Chernihiv city accepts them.
Twice a year, we personally visit each site to double-check the outcome and formally accept the work and goods on behalf of our foundation.
We help equip shelters in Ukrainian schools and kindergartens
Went off in the Chernihiv region since the beginning of the war.
An average shelter stay duration
What do children need now?
Electricity, lighting, and ventilation
Prolonged stay in underground shelters with gloomy lighting, stale air, bad smells, high humidity, and mold can seriously affect a young health:
Endocrine system issues;
Attention deficit;
Allergies;
Breathing issues;
Immune issues.
Compact three-tier beds
When the air alarm goes off during nap time in kindergarten, kids are brought to the shelter, where they need to continue their sleep.
Desks and chairs
When the air alarm goes off during a school class or a test, it has to be continued, once children are in the shelter.

Who are we and what do we do?
We are Angels of Freedom—a philanthropic movement that was established in Ukraine, reached great spread in Kazakhstan, and now spans the entire world.
Our project started in May 2022, when Russian troops left the Chernihiv region. 27 out of 34 schools and 37 out of 52 kindergartens were damaged in the city.
In July 2022, children from one of the most affected schools in Chernihiv reached out to volunteers in Kazakhstan for help to repair it.
Volunteers united their efforts to restore them, compiling a list of 'objects' that could be quickly recovered, and the Angels of Freedom project took on the task.
We established a connection with the Department of Education of Chernihiv city and, with the help of our donors were able to equip the school’s shelter.
To this day, Angels of Freedom continues to equip shelters in kindergartens and schools. So far, we have helped equip shelters in 3 schools and 6 kindergartens.
Now, there are more than 110 volunteers from 7 countries working together to make children's lives a little better.
